Nokia Lumia 620 Release date close

The Nokia Lumia 620 is finally available for pre-order at flipkart.com in India. According to flipkart the phone will be available by the 2nd week of march for sale officially.
Most experts say the reason for delay may be that Nokia India was waiting for its price to drop a bit in the local markets, so that it is made available at a cheaper price in India. Some also think that Nokia India is Planning to launch Nokia Lumia 720, Nokia Lumia 520 and Nokia Lumia 620 together in the market so that the consumers have choices available. According to the new Budget released by the Finance minister of India there will be a price hike in the mobile markets as well.
May be the phones will be available a little costlier but we have to wait and watch that actually how much difference we find in the price of the Phones.

Ultra pixel no match for Pureview

The HTC one is the new flagship phone for HTC. Currently HTC has suffered a loss all around the world and HTC is willing to improve its position. As the Nokia has turned the camera into a big deal in every smartphone and all companies want to have the best tech in their smartphone cameras, HTC has come up with something new called the ULTRA PIXEL.
Nokia has released one of the best camera smartphones of all times in Nokia Lumia 920.

Nokia Pureview has Man Handled all the other Smartphone Cameras in its class. Now at the launch of HTC one in UK neowin.com conducted some camera test on one and 920. Here is what were the results.

1. HTC one

Nokia Lumia 920
here there is not much significant difference but still the colour saturation of the Nokia Lumia 920 is better than the HTC one.

2. HTC one

Nokia Lumia 920

The colours are more Bright and vivid on the 920 again.

3. HTC one

Nokia Lumia 920

When the real Low light test took place there was no match between the phones and the clear winner is Nokia Lumia 920. May be the One will beat some of the other smartphones in the industry but it has no competition for the pureview. The ultra pixel proves to be a total flop when compared with Pureview.

Why Nokia Lumia 620 is the best!!!

Check out this Nokia Conversation Post
The Nokia Lumia 620 is an awesome smartphone, but don’t just listen to our opinion, because others seem to think so, too. What are tech news sites across the Web saying about the Nokia Lumia 620?
Engadget

“Nokia Lumia 620 review: precisely what an entry-level smartphone should be.”

Mat Smith, from Engadget, takes the Nokia Lumia 620 for a full-on test drive; comparing screens, battery life and the hardware with other devices, etc.

There are lots of points to notice, such as: “we had to see how Qualcomm’s lesser Snapdragon S4 Plus processor would handle an almost-identical Windows Phone UX. You can lay any of those concerns to rest, as the 1GHz dual-core processor offered up a very similar experience; you’re getting far more than what you pay for.” and: “What’s more, it’s arguably more attractive than most Google-powered phones around the same price point and could prove to be a huge hit among smartphone beginners.”

Mat’s review does, of course, go into much more depth than this; so make sure you take the time to check it out.

Wired

“the bright, glossy colour schemes will certainly help it stand out among the forest of black slabs on the table when you meet up with your mates.”

The Wired’s Dave Oliver has given the Nokia Lumia 620 a 7 out of 10 rating, with the pros being; a decent screen, Nokia’s feature suite and the fact that it runs Windows Phone 8. The only con is that there’s ‘not a lot of apps in the Windows Store’.

It’s worth mentioning that there are currently over 125,000 apps available, which is no small number.

Dave concludes his review with this: “Nice to see that Nokia hasn’t held back on the spec, with a nippy processor, decent camera and a perfectly fine screen, plus useful extras like NFC and Nokia’s Maps, Music and Drive features. The bright and bold colours may be designed to appeal to “da youth” but this is a very attractive handset for any age.”

The Gadget Show

“Put simply, this is the best budget smartphone we’ve ever tested.”

The Gadget Show starts by mentioning that the Lumia 620 is a much more affordable smartphone than some of the flagship phones from Nokia, such as the Nokia Lumia 920, for example. That’s a fact; it is. However, they end just loving this new smartphone taking time to squeeze in the words “superb build quality” and “Nokia’s rock solid app suite”.

TechCrunch

“The Lumia 620 stands out from the underpowered crowd by showing that an entry level smartphone can get the performance basics right.”

Natasha Lomas, from TechCrunch, takes it in turn to look at the many different parts that make up a smartphone. Starting with the basics, Natasha runs through the hardware and design and describes how the Lumia 620 is suitably sized to “slip into pockets and fit in the daintiest of hands.”

And what of the software?

“What the Lumia 620 shows is that Windows Phone can be an attractive low-price alternative — offering slick entry-level performance, with a solid browser, messaging, maps and of course integrated social networking, plus, in the 620′s case, value-add extras such as free cloud storage and Nokia’s free streaming music service.”

If you like lots of close-up product photos with your reviews, this is a good one to check out.

Pocket-lint

“For anyone looking for the right Windows Phone to buy, we honestly think this is the handset for you.”

This is what Ian Morris, from Pocket-lint had to say about the basic messaging capabilities of the Nokia Lumia 620:

“Email support is utterly brilliant, with Hotmail – or Outlook.com as it’s becoming – Gmail and Exchange support all provided without any real need to configure settings. It has to be said too, you’ll love the Windows Phone email interface.”

And with emailing comes the ability to type out your emails on the virtual keyboard:

“The built-in keyboard is really good too, and that’s something that honestly surprised us with a phone this small. The correction seems to get it bang on, most of the time, and the keys, while small, don’t seem very hard to hit. It’s actually just about the best virtual keyboard we’ve used, honestly.”

WPCentral

”We’ll just flat out say it: we love the Lumia 620.”

Daniel Rubino from WPCentral, names the good as: “Bold, eye catching phone with fantastic features and excellent quality all for less than $300″; the bad as: “May be too small for some. Needs to be on more carriers.”; and the conclusions is: “Nokia has a winner on hand with the Lumia 620″.

There’s plenty more to read, so click the link above for a more detailed look.

Nokia Lumia 620Our newest Windows Phone 8 smartphone. The family is growing.
SlashGear

“Here’s a spoiler: Nokia’s Lumia 620 is arguably the most balanced device in the company’s current line-up, and it makes a case for being the best mainstream smartphone on the market today”

Chris Davies thinks back to the days of Nokia’s XpressCovers: “It’s XpressCovers all over again; only better.”

When coming to a conclusion, Chris says this: “For the price we’d recommend it over a cheap Android handset, especially if you’re a new smartphone user, but there’s plenty more than low-cost appeal in the Lumia 620′s favor”

We’re delighted that we’re not alone in thinking that the Nokia Lumia 620 is an amazing piece of kit. Please make sure you take the time to read all of these reviews in full.

Have you purchased one yet? What do you think of it? Tell us all, below.

Resale of Symbian Phones

The resale value of all the symbian phones has dropped drastically. After 'The Burning Platform' has stopped providing any updates and even Nokia is preferring WP devices over Symbian, there is no resale value for these phones.
You cannot even get 25% Price of your 1st gen Symbian phones and less than 40% for your 2nd generation Symbian phones.
It is very sad that Nokia's prime phones of one time don't even get their deserving resale values and that nobody is ready to buy a Symbian over other platforms.
This has also made the consumers sick who are willing to sell their symbian phones to buy a new handset of other platform Well we have to pay some hard earned cash for new phones even after selling our old N8s and E7s.

Nokia Lumia 920 vs. Blackberry Z10

BlackBerry has made a comeback with its new BlackBerry 10 Ecosystem and the phone they have brought in is BlackBerry Z10. But what will happen if it goes one with the Nokia Monster The Nokia Lumia 920.
The BB’s new ecosystem lags in most of the departments. The Blackberry’s browser is laggy and the phones software has many bugs like it’s unable to connect to the network sometimes or gps etc. The phone also lags a gorilla glass.
The phone’s camera is also average and does not compete in any way with the monster 920. The BB10 is very confusing and will take sometime for an average person to understand it properly. Totally opposite is WP8 which is very simple to use.
The BlackBerry’s Messaging feature still stands out but only messaging is not enough to make a successful phone.
So the BB10 has a long way to go and the Nokia Lumia 920 totally Demolishes it in every Department.

5 things you never knew about wireless charging

Twenty years ago the mere thought of wireless telephones was enough to make us raise our eyebrows; now, we can even ditch the cables we use to charge them. And because the highest failure rate in mobile equipment tends to be the fraying and kinked power cord, this is very good news.
While it’s not yet mainstream, you probably already know that smartphones like the Nokia Lumia 820 and the Nokia Lumia 920 are the wireless charging trailblazers. However, there’s plenty more to learn about this futuristic tech.

One. Wireless charging works by using induction – the same basic principle that Michael Faraday discovered way back in 1831. An electrical current in one part of the charger creates a magnetic field, which in turn creates a voltage – and that voltage powers your phone, wire-free! You simply place your phone on top of the charging unit, just like, with an induction cooker, you place your pan on the hob. Simple!

Two. Like any other emergent tech, there are competing systems. Nokia has adopted the Qi standard, developed by the Wireless Power Consortium, a cooperation of worldwide companies that aims to create a proprietary standard for wireless charging technology that will eventually operate worldwide. ‘Qi’ comes from the Chinese concept of energy flow in traditional medicine – pretty appropriate, we think!

Three. You won’t always have to bring your charging pad with you. Nokia, for instance, has teamed up with Virgin Atlantic and Coffee Bean And Tea Leaf, which means that when you’re the London Heathrow Clubhouse lounge, or in a Coffee Bean café, you’ll be able to make use of their table-top charging stations while you relax. Now that’s twenty-first century customer service if ever we saw it.

Four. While many manufacturers are getting in on the act, Nokia aims to be the best of the bunch, which is why it increased the active charging area to over 80 per cent on the wireless charging plate. It also designed the Nokia Wireless Charging Pillow by Fatboy – for when your hard-working phone fancies a well-deserved lie-down – and the Nokia Wireless Charging Stand, which allows you to charge up whilst on video calls. We’re also very fond of the JBL PowerUp Wireless Charging Speaker for Nokia, which will charge your phone as you’re listening to your favourite tunes.

Five. Last but by no means least, wireless charging is better for the planet. Leaving your charger plugged in, after you’ve powered your mobile up, might not make a noticeable difference to your home’s total energy consumption, but when tens of millions of people do the same thing the amount of energy wasted can be huge. Wireless charging only works when your phone touches the charger. No touching. No power. It’s a greener way of energizing your phone and that’s got to be good news for everyone.

As you’ve probably guessed we’re massive fans of the wireless way, but what do you think? Does it herald the start of a brave new wire-free world or is it just an electric flash in the pan?

Nokia Lumia 920

Nokia is in one of its worst runs and to fight out of it has launched its new flagship device, The Nokia Lumia 920. The 920 is the new Nokia flagship and promises better images and better video than competitors. It has an 8mp camera, unlike the 808, but the PureView tech enables better image stabilization and better low-light performance.
The screen on the Lumia 920 is an LCD with 768x1280 resolution. Its pixels update "up to 2.5x faster" than other LCD screens and is also the brightest screen on a smartphone. It is "super sensitive" too; Nokia demonstrated that it works even through thick winder gloves. The ClearBlack technology has been improved and is now PureMotion HD+ - it automatically adjusts the screen tone and brightness according to the ambient light.
It also has wireless charging and the wireless charging plate is not available with the phone so we have to buy it separately. It has the Nokia’s very own augmented reality apps like the Nokia city lens. It supports NFC and is said to be one of the heaviest phones weighing at almost 185g. The device is bulky and a part of the Award winning lumia design. The phones Polycarbonate finish makes it even better, glossier and stronger and even resistant under knifes. It has an gorilla glass display and a curved display glass which makes it look even better. It is just two pieces joint together to form a phone and does not support a removable battery. But the battery life is sufficient and works one whole day. It has a micro sim tray just like the one on the apple phones.

The horizontal camera placed near the center of the back is a nod towards the Lumia 800 too. The Lumia 920 camera is flush with the back, even though Nokia added the impressively souding optical image stabilization - a first for smartphones.  It has the image stabilization and the super bright F/2.0 aperture plus Carl Zeiss lens, and according to Nokia those allow for unrivalled image quality in low-light conditions. The phone also comes with three Lens apps be preloaded - SmartShoot, Cinemagraph and Panorama. Its lens is not fixed and suspended with the help of the spring so when your phone moves it image is not shaken that much. Nokia has widened the aperture this time which allows it to capture lights and give amazing results in even in very low light conditions. Due to the lack of crisp images during day time Nokia is going to release an update near soon which will improve the image quality in day light. But undoubtedly it has one of the best smartphone cameras.

As for wireless charging, the 920 supports Qi technology, so it will work with any Qi-compatible charger. There were three chargers that Nokia showcased - a somewhat boring looking plastic charger, a soft Fatboy pillow charger and the JBL PowerUp Bluetooth wireless speaker.
It contains wp8 which is lightning fast and loaded with features like the Xbox games, Peoples Hub, Lenses Applications, Live tile etc.
The Lumia 920 is a very effective comeback from the finnish company and has already been sold out in usa.

It lacks an inbuilt Radio. The Speaker is said to be the best of all the other lumia devices on this phone. It also Comes with a offline maps which helps u navigate with the help of gps and glonass without making use of internet. The microsoft tellme is a bit weak but will be soon improved as googles voice controll app and the apples siri are ruling the market. It has a 1300mAh Battery which gives a talk time of 14h 40 min on 2g and 9h 50m on 3g and the stand by time of upto 13 days.
