Nokia HERE Maps

Nokia Here maps are one of the best Navigational systems we have currently. It contains Here Maps, Here Drive+, Here Transit and Here City lens. It supports navigation in more than 150 countries which is unbelievable.
Nokia has been working very hard with its navigational apps and the new update has also set benchmarks in the world of navigation. the new update brings a new feature called silversight which is a kind of city lens that is directly integrated in your here maps with better and faster interface.
Plus the new addition is the complete details of malls and airports for more than countries right on your phone.
The app tells you where the escalator is or where Kfc or some other restaurant is or even a restroom right on your phone which is an awesome feature.
Although the navigation can also be done offline but the new features require a data connection.
There few more updates in store for Here maps according to Nokia, lets see what the finnish brand brings to the market next time!!

Nokia Lumia 620 Release date close

The Nokia Lumia 620 is finally available for pre-order at flipkart.com in India. According to flipkart the phone will be available by the 2nd week of march for sale officially.
Most experts say the reason for delay may be that Nokia India was waiting for its price to drop a bit in the local markets, so that it is made available at a cheaper price in India. Some also think that Nokia India is Planning to launch Nokia Lumia 720, Nokia Lumia 520 and Nokia Lumia 620 together in the market so that the consumers have choices available. According to the new Budget released by the Finance minister of India there will be a price hike in the mobile markets as well.
May be the phones will be available a little costlier but we have to wait and watch that actually how much difference we find in the price of the Phones.

Ultra pixel no match for Pureview

The HTC one is the new flagship phone for HTC. Currently HTC has suffered a loss all around the world and HTC is willing to improve its position. As the Nokia has turned the camera into a big deal in every smartphone and all companies want to have the best tech in their smartphone cameras, HTC has come up with something new called the ULTRA PIXEL.
Nokia has released one of the best camera smartphones of all times in Nokia Lumia 920.

Nokia Pureview has Man Handled all the other Smartphone Cameras in its class. Now at the launch of HTC one in UK neowin.com conducted some camera test on one and 920. Here is what were the results.

1. HTC one

Nokia Lumia 920
here there is not much significant difference but still the colour saturation of the Nokia Lumia 920 is better than the HTC one.

2. HTC one

Nokia Lumia 920

The colours are more Bright and vivid on the 920 again.

3. HTC one

Nokia Lumia 920

When the real Low light test took place there was no match between the phones and the clear winner is Nokia Lumia 920. May be the One will beat some of the other smartphones in the industry but it has no competition for the pureview. The ultra pixel proves to be a total flop when compared with Pureview.

Why Nokia Lumia 620 is the best!!!

Check out this Nokia Conversation Post
The Nokia Lumia 620 is an awesome smartphone, but don’t just listen to our opinion, because others seem to think so, too. What are tech news sites across the Web saying about the Nokia Lumia 620?
Engadget

“Nokia Lumia 620 review: precisely what an entry-level smartphone should be.”

Mat Smith, from Engadget, takes the Nokia Lumia 620 for a full-on test drive; comparing screens, battery life and the hardware with other devices, etc.

There are lots of points to notice, such as: “we had to see how Qualcomm’s lesser Snapdragon S4 Plus processor would handle an almost-identical Windows Phone UX. You can lay any of those concerns to rest, as the 1GHz dual-core processor offered up a very similar experience; you’re getting far more than what you pay for.” and: “What’s more, it’s arguably more attractive than most Google-powered phones around the same price point and could prove to be a huge hit among smartphone beginners.”

Mat’s review does, of course, go into much more depth than this; so make sure you take the time to check it out.

Wired

“the bright, glossy colour schemes will certainly help it stand out among the forest of black slabs on the table when you meet up with your mates.”

The Wired’s Dave Oliver has given the Nokia Lumia 620 a 7 out of 10 rating, with the pros being; a decent screen, Nokia’s feature suite and the fact that it runs Windows Phone 8. The only con is that there’s ‘not a lot of apps in the Windows Store’.

It’s worth mentioning that there are currently over 125,000 apps available, which is no small number.

Dave concludes his review with this: “Nice to see that Nokia hasn’t held back on the spec, with a nippy processor, decent camera and a perfectly fine screen, plus useful extras like NFC and Nokia’s Maps, Music and Drive features. The bright and bold colours may be designed to appeal to “da youth” but this is a very attractive handset for any age.”

The Gadget Show

“Put simply, this is the best budget smartphone we’ve ever tested.”

The Gadget Show starts by mentioning that the Lumia 620 is a much more affordable smartphone than some of the flagship phones from Nokia, such as the Nokia Lumia 920, for example. That’s a fact; it is. However, they end just loving this new smartphone taking time to squeeze in the words “superb build quality” and “Nokia’s rock solid app suite”.

TechCrunch

“The Lumia 620 stands out from the underpowered crowd by showing that an entry level smartphone can get the performance basics right.”

Natasha Lomas, from TechCrunch, takes it in turn to look at the many different parts that make up a smartphone. Starting with the basics, Natasha runs through the hardware and design and describes how the Lumia 620 is suitably sized to “slip into pockets and fit in the daintiest of hands.”

And what of the software?

“What the Lumia 620 shows is that Windows Phone can be an attractive low-price alternative — offering slick entry-level performance, with a solid browser, messaging, maps and of course integrated social networking, plus, in the 620′s case, value-add extras such as free cloud storage and Nokia’s free streaming music service.”

If you like lots of close-up product photos with your reviews, this is a good one to check out.

Pocket-lint

“For anyone looking for the right Windows Phone to buy, we honestly think this is the handset for you.”

This is what Ian Morris, from Pocket-lint had to say about the basic messaging capabilities of the Nokia Lumia 620:

“Email support is utterly brilliant, with Hotmail – or Outlook.com as it’s becoming – Gmail and Exchange support all provided without any real need to configure settings. It has to be said too, you’ll love the Windows Phone email interface.”

And with emailing comes the ability to type out your emails on the virtual keyboard:

“The built-in keyboard is really good too, and that’s something that honestly surprised us with a phone this small. The correction seems to get it bang on, most of the time, and the keys, while small, don’t seem very hard to hit. It’s actually just about the best virtual keyboard we’ve used, honestly.”

WPCentral

”We’ll just flat out say it: we love the Lumia 620.”

Daniel Rubino from WPCentral, names the good as: “Bold, eye catching phone with fantastic features and excellent quality all for less than $300″; the bad as: “May be too small for some. Needs to be on more carriers.”; and the conclusions is: “Nokia has a winner on hand with the Lumia 620″.

SlashGear

“Here’s a spoiler: Nokia’s Lumia 620 is arguably the most balanced device in the company’s current line-up, and it makes a case for being the best mainstream smartphone on the market today”

Chris Davies thinks back to the days of Nokia’s XpressCovers: “It’s XpressCovers all over again; only better.”

When coming to a conclusion, Chris says this: “For the price we’d recommend it over a cheap Android handset, especially if you’re a new smartphone user, but there’s plenty more than low-cost appeal in the Lumia 620′s favor”

We’re delighted that we’re not alone in thinking that the Nokia Lumia 620 is an amazing piece of kit. Please make sure you take the time to read all of these reviews in full.
